Bahrain to Malaga

More great news for the Costa del Sol as it has been confirmed that direct flights between Bahrain and Malaga Airport are set to recommence this summer, as announced by the national carrier of the Middle Eastern nation.

Gulf Air will operate flights between Malaga Airport and Bahrain three times weekly, mirroring last year’s schedule on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Commencing operations on 17th June and extending through 28th September, the flights will be made by a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, renowned for its modern interior, facilities and passenger comfort, ensuring a delightful journey for all travellers, the airline emphasized.

“This underscores Gulf Air’s dedication to global connectivity and our pivotal role as a conduit between Europe and the regions of the Middle East and beyond,” they further elaborated.

Eva Bretos Cano, the Director of Gulf Air’s representative office in Spain, expressed enthusiasm, stating, “We are thrilled to reintroduce our direct route linking Malaga and Bahrain, thereby facilitating access to an extensive network of destinations, presenting a massive choice of opportunities to experience new cultures, engage in business ventures, or simply just enjoy the new experiences that the routes will open up.” She added that the flight presents opportunities for Malaga-originating passengers to explore destinations such as Abu Dhabi, Colombo, Dubai, MalĂ©, Jeda, Riyadh, Bangkok, Muscat, Peshawar, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Islamabad, Lahore, and Manila.

The carrier has unveiled fares to the Middle East and the Indian Ocean starting from just 213 euros for a return journey, excluding taxes. Gulf Air marked its entry into the Spanish market with a direct flight connecting Malaga and Bahrain in June 2019, which operated bi-weekly during the summer months. Malaga was selected “following meticulous analysis of potential routes and strategies for expanding our network of destinations.” Bretos emphasized Malaga’s allure as a premier holiday destination and its popularity among customers in Bahrain and the Gulf countries as factors influencing the decision.
