Murcia-San Javier airport is not just one that civilian flights can arrive and depart from but is also used by the Spanish military. It is located just 17 miles (27.3km) south of the town of Murcia and like all airports within Spain is operated by AENA. Murcia airport is located on the Costa Calida but is ideal for those who are looking to spend time at the southern end of the Costa Blanca. Especially the resort town of Torrevieja as it is only a short journey to it. So of course this has meant that a large number of charter airlines have now flights directly to it from across Europe.
