If you are departing from Malaga Airport you will need the upper tier of the airport for the check in desks. Currently the majority of the UK budget airlines still have to chack in at the older terminal 2 building and then walk over to terminal 3 for the security control (just a 5 minute walk inside the airport as the terminals flow into one another).

There is now a queue flowing system in place to go through security making it much easier than previously. Once through the new terminal 3 has a lot more shopping and eating areas than when it was all located in terminal 2.
