Alicante Airport - Costa Blanca
Alicante Airport (Airport code ALC) serves the southern and central Costa Blanca for holiday destination like Torrevieja, Benidorm and of course Alicante. Although not as busy as Malaga Airport it still deals with over 3 million passengers a year and is one of Spain busiest international airports dealing mainly with flights from the UK, Germany and Holland although there is increasing demand from some Spanish domestic routes like Madrid, Barcelona and Plama de Mallorca History of Alicante Airport Construction of Alicante Airport began in 1965 with the development of some 2,700 metres of runway and taxi area.
